Rwanda Leading the Global Dialogue on Palliative Care

Thursday 10 April 2025, by Webmaster

Funded by EMMS International, by September 2027, ACREOL Global in partnership with University Global Health Equity (UGHE) aims to establish a comprehensive, policy-driven model for palliative care in Rwanda, improving services for end-stage non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This initiative will enhance community-based palliative care, integrate with existing PEN and PEN-Plus platforms, and contribute to Universal Health Coverage (SDG 3) by expanding access to nationally led NCD care. With a proven model in two provinces, the project seeks national integration aligned with the 2014 WHA Resolution on Palliative Care, securing funding to scale across all five provinces and serve as a replicable framework for other countries.
