Mrs. ZITONI Solange is an experienced psychologist with over 14 years of lectureship. Her work has been dedicated to helping patients in a meaningful way by actively listening to their concerns and providing them with effective strategies to address their mental, emotional, and behavioral problems.
With a particular expertise in working with children and teenagers, Mrs. Solange has excelled in her ability to connect with and support young patients. Additionally, Mrs. Solange has served as a palliative care trainer and mentor for palliative care trainees across different health settings in Rwanda.
She has also been involved in providing counseling and support for patients living with HIV/AIDS. In this role, she has worked to educate patients on the disease and its management, as well as provided follow-up care for patients in reception centers of the project. As a welfare officer for a psychosocial group, Mrs. Solange has provided support and care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
She has also actively participated in mentorship, guiding and supporting new trainees to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality care to patients.
Currently, Mrs. Solange is actively involved in teaching, research, mentorship, and academic leadership in Rwanda. In her role as a palliative care trainer, Mrs. Solange contributes to the training of healthcare professionals in various projects implemented by ACREOL.
